Welcome to our Northern Pacific Sea Stars (and the things they eat) event, hosted alongside Port Phillip Ecocentre. The exact plan will be 1 of 2 options on the day will depend. Please come prepared for both, and flexible for either!

Option 1: If NPS are in the shallows, and EPA water quality is Fair or Good. We will be doing a NPS removal. This involves some people snorkelling to collect, and some people on the beach to process (measure and count). Beach crew can also do gastropod surveys while they for NPS to process.

Option2: If NPS are not abundant in the shallows, or Poor EPA water quality. We will have some NPS to have a look at, and do a gastropod survey (the things that NPS eat).

Where and when: Brighton Beach, in front of Brighton Surf Life Saving Club

Who: Everyone welcome, children under 16 with a parent or guardian.
